Protesting DRM

Found a couple of pages lately, trying to protest the RIAA and DRM and show them how bad it is. One site is here where they are supposedly giving out the phone numbers of the RIAA executives in a couple of days. There was another talking about “not” going to retail stores, and buying cds with DRM on them, leaving the store, and returning five minutes later to return them because they have DRM on them. I forget the link to this page, so I’ll keep looking for it.

In my opinion these aren’t the smartest things to do, I doubt they are fully legal to do as well. But thats what you get when you have kiddies trying to think about how to stick it to the man.

A better alternative would be to simply not but cds. If you stop purchasing cds, and if everyone else does as well, hopefully the RIAA will be able to pull their heads out of their asses and realize this isn’t 1993 anymore.

But you still want to get music you say? No problem, this website gives some great examples of how to get your music fix without going to the big mega store and buying that album.

This is a business to them, and business are based on money. If you stop buying their cds, they stop making money. That is like punching them in the balls, and ball punching is what gooseneck lives for.

Ninja monkeys are meeting as we speak, plotting my demise. This is not just an idle statement, no. This is a promise, a threat, and a homonym. Sometimes I have to apply ointment to the elephant in the room while in other instances pants are opshunal. Never forget to have a beer and enjoy the conversation.
